This weekend we got a lot done for Baby C's room. I taped up all the walls, hubby did the painting. We picked out a ceiling fan and bought curtains... everything is coming along so perfectly, we'll be ready for this little guy with lots of time to spare!
The MOST exciting thing we've gotten for the room so far though...
This ADORABLE mobile from my BOFF Jenn! This was seriously the sweetest surprise that showed up at my doorstep on Friday afternoon. I had 2 boxes waiting for me when I came home from my pre-natal massage (if you're preggers, go get one, it's heavenly); my organic fruit/veggie box and another box... i racked my brain trying to think of what, if anything i had ordered. And once I opened said box, i was just so super surprised i could not stop smiling... i may have even teared up at Jenn's sweet message. Of course I immediately had to snap a pic and put it on Instagram and Facebook.
After all, i just finished making the registry this past week and it's the very first gift we've received off of it! Good job Jenn, #winning! (And yes, I will make sure your thank you card is in the mail ASAP! LOL!) I'm so excited for the nursery to be ready so I can hang this baby up!
Jenn - thank you SO much for your sweet, thoughtful surprise. I'm so so happy we've become such good friends over the past couple of years. People come in and out of our lives, but I sure am glad you came into mine.
And here's a pic of the bump from the weekend... I'll be back soon with a bumpdate and some pics!

Blogger #fail!
Yeah yeah yeah.... i know... i was supposed to give you the next part of my vacation on the blogs this week... but alas... i have been swamped, am PMS'ing, and now have a lovely COLD. Still at work though, not sick enough to waste a day... but still catching up from last week (though being busy at work with actual billable work is definitely a blessing).
Anyway... i ended up taking off yesterday to go meet this adorable little guy....
Anyway... i ended up taking off yesterday to go meet this adorable little guy....
Little sweet baby Philip.... one of my best friend's new additions... and he was so worth the 2 hour drive to Long Island and back (2.5 hours with traffic)...
Ended up having a great day hanging with Joy and catching up, doing a little shopping and she treated me for lunch for my bday.... :)
Anyway, i PROMISE to try my best to get back to the vacation updates so i can finish those up and also catch up on all your blogs!

Friday Confessions! Vol 2
Here we go girls! Friday is here already and bless me father for i have sinned...
I confess...
- I took about a 3 hour lunch today. Had to go to a client lunch presentation, and after that lunch decided I needed a break, so grabbed C and L and took ANOTHER lunch break and a half!
- While on said lunch, returning a shirt at Kohl's, turned around and bought these babies...
- I've been sort of cranky and "mean" to the BF all week (or so he says) and we're supposed to go watch the big fight at his buddies house tomorrow night and i really don't want to go. I'm just feeling somewhat anti-social and unfriendly...
- I'm feeling really lazy lately and even though the dog stinks to high hell really don't feel like giving him a bath tonight.
- I'm having one of those weeks where I'm straight up ready to throw the scale out the window. I've been busting my ass with cardio kickboxing and for the most part watching what I eat, and the numbers are not budging. Its just getting really frustrating.
- I'm stressing about turning 33 in a month. 3-3. OLD. nuff said. Bleh.
- The former bestie's birthday is in a few weeks and I'm not sure how much of a "friend" i should try to be. Do i just Facebook wish her a happy bday? Do i send her flowers to work? Or just a card? Do i attempt to make dinner plans? How much or how little do i care when i know she has written me off her friends list?
Well there you have them. My confessions for the week... What are some of yours? Link up with the Glamazon Mom and share!

Random Musings...
So not much going on this week. Just trying to make it to the weekend... Saturday i get to watch this sweet little girl...
i'm actually not sure who's more excited to babysit, me or the BF (cute, right?) i'm hoping the weather holds out so we can take her to the playground!
Other than that, i found this cute steamer (and mini steamer) in InStyle mag the other night, and decided i'd like to be wrinkle-free. :P
Of course when i checked for it on hsn.com, it's sold out. But i googled (how did people exist before google!) and they also sell it at Bed Bath & Beyond, which is even better so I can use a 20% coupon!
In more personal news, I'm having some mixed feelings about a friendship. I don't think i want to go into too much detail but i'm just sad because i feel like i'm losing someone who was very near and dear to me for a long time. And mostly, i blame her. I found out that she lied to me about some things and was just being shady in general and I feel betrayed. But since she's never fessed up, nor have i confronted her about it, its almost like the elephant in the room. Its turned into a strained friendship, and i know she's definitely distancing herself from me, and in turn i find myself doing the same thing back. And yet, something keeps bringing me back to trying to keep in touch, trying to keep the connection alive... is it because we've been best friends for so long, because we have so many good memories together, because i don't want to be the one that's seen as "the bad friend"... probably a combination of all of these things, but it still just sucks. I know i have a lot of resentment towards her right now -- a lot of hurt feelings over things. But i think the part that hurts me the most, is that, as much as i'm beginning to cut ties, i realize its because she started to first. And the fact that i didn't really do anything to deserve her just cutting me out of her life is difficult. My friends say its because she has a guilty conscience. And because she's the kind of person that rather than deal with confrontation, will just eliminate anything that will bring confrontation (ie, me). Anyway, i'm just having a tough time with this, trying to move on, trying to not have negative feelings, but its hard... Found this quote the other day, and this is exactly how i feel...
I don't know what the future holds for our friendship. Maybe we'll just become the kind of friends that occassionally emails a hello once every few months. That's practically what it is now. Maybe eventually i'll decide to write her a letter expressing how i feel (i haven't yet because a- im still really angry about the whole situation and b- because she hates confrontation and thus will just ignore or deny) or maybe i'll just move on and realize that she wasn't as good of a friend as i always thought she was.
Oh well... at least i'm getting it off my chest, indirectly but i guess that can still be therapeutic no? Any advice or thoughts would be appreciated! Otherwise, have a great weekend and i'll give you the recap on Monday!

Feather Fun!
OK, so now that the drama of this morning is over... (though my finger is still throbbing) here's the weekend recap.
Friday the BF and i had our Toy Story night... though we only made it through the first of the movies (which i had already seen) and he fell asleep half way through. i don't quite think he's the Toy Story kinda guy... maybe if we ever have kids and he's forced to watch it... LOL it was still a nice, laid back kind of night...
Saturday, we were up early (probably because we passed out so early the night before) and i had an appointment to get these!
Mine are actually PINK and zebra... they're a little dark and i think next time i want them in a more prominent place but they're adorable and fun!
After that, went to help my dad out and then later we did dinner with him. He wanted to do Indian, since my mother doesn't really like indian food. I wasn't too sure that I would like indian food, but as it turns out, my meal was delish! BF and dad did get an appetizer of ESCARGOT which they made me try! EEK! short of them looking SO scary and gross, they didn't taste too bad... i only managed to eat one though, before the idea of SNAILS was just too much for me!
First thing Sunday morning, i hit my group kick class at the gym and after I met up with my college besties for brunch at Cheesecake Factory and got some bangin' Eggs Benedict (hence why hitting the gym that day was a MUST.) it was so great to catch up with the girls and of course i forgot my camera so i have no pictures for you guys! i definitely want to stay on the ball with getting together with these girls every few months. i know its hard since we're sort of scattered location wise, and everyone has busy lives, kids, families, work, etc. but we have a great time when we have the chance to catch up. So as self-appointed event planner, i definitely want to make sure we don't lose touch. Believe it or not, its been over 10 years since college (omg, how scary is that!!) and i'm so glad these girls are still in my life. we've had a few bumps in the road, but at the end of the day, i'd do anything for these girls.
After lunch, i opted to not walk around the mall (yes, self-determination) and just stopped in Barnes & Noble and picked up this book:
I used to read the sweet valley high books when i was young - and this is the same series but 10 years later! how fun is that! so far im about a quarter of the way thru and loving it. its also nice to be reading again. i took about an 8 month hiatus from reading, i've just been so busy and since my roomates buy every women's magazine under the sun, i always have PLENTY of magazine reading to do. So hopefully this week i can finish up this book and then maybe move onto another!
How were all your weekends? Did you do anything fun? Eat anything yummy?
