It's OK...

that i was a blog slacker all week so far. once again due to being so busy at work. i know i know, story of my life. LOL

that i had a major shopping #fail this past weekend.

Can we say Asian Where's Waldo anyone? Or how about the Asian Pilgrim? i know, be jealous of how hot i look. (No, i did NOT buy either of these.)

that i dropped $20 on pink hair extensions yesterday. BUT they were for a good cause.

This weekend we went to cut down our very first REAL christmas tree! The farm was literally around the corner from our development... and had THOUSANDS of trees! Who knew it was even there this whole time!

It was a fantastic day to be out and we brought Scooter along to help us find the perfect tree.

 Looking thru rows and rows and rows of trees... G says to me, "if you're an indecisive person, picking out a Christmas tree at this place is probably not a good idea!" and he was right... i felt like we were there for hours... which we were, 2 to be exact. But in the end, he found the perfect tree for our house!

And finally getting it to fall... it was a lot of effort, the tree guy said it was "the hardest tree he's ever had to cut down"

We got it on the car...

Up 3 flights of stairs, and into the house....

Scooter stole Rudolph and wouldn't give him back!

And G set up the mantle... can we say queer eye for the straight guy!

And i finally finished putting the tree together yesterday afternoon. After breaking out in a rash from the needles pricking my arms. Yup, allergic to the tree... which prompted this conversation:

At the end of the day I was able to relax and enjoy our first tree.

Now I just hope I can keep it alive til Christmas! Eek!

A Magical Year

I uploaded our Christmas Wedding announcement to VistaPrint today and ordered them! So excited to send them to our friends and family since we didn't throw the big shin dig... Figured I'd save on stamps and wish them a merry merry while i was at it... hoping they come out cute. I even splurged on rush shipping since they were having a pretty good sale!

This is actually the first year i haven't done a canine related christmas card... but i figured it could be the exception... HOPEFULLY by next year we'll have a bigger family for a christmas card. *wink*
