WILW & Happy Hump Day!

Wow. I've finally caught up to a lot of the projects i've had going on at work. Its definitely nice to take a breather and possibly have a less busy summer ahead of me.

Today I'm linking up with Jamie at This Kind of Love for

Here's what I'm loving this week:

i'm loving the website design i just did for a high school friend.
hoping she gets lots of business from it!

i'm loving the cute maxi skirt i got from arden b last weekend.
not only was it something i was lusting after,
but i had a 20% friends & family coupon i was able to use!

i'm loving 50 shades of grey, 50 shades darker and 50 shades freed.
i got totally hooked and i need more -- SIR!

i'm loving this lil guy.
though i'm NOT loving the stomach virus that attacked the poor pup with a vengeance this weekend.

and with that said, i'm loving my handy dandy carpet shampoo'er.

and last but not least,
i'm loving this guy.

for always making me laugh even when i'm wearing my cranky pants!

happy hump day loves!

One More Day...

Til Friiiiiiiiiday! Man, i can't wait to hear that 5 o'clock whistle tomorrow (or in my case the 3pm one since our company closes early for the day)

Til then I'm linking up with the awesome Jen at Going the Distance for...

This week, i'd definitely be drinking this amazing looking concoction...

(thank you sir, may i have another?)

i'd also be bitching big time about the a-holes at work...

and how i have 28 days of vacay left for the year that i have to figure out how i can possibly find the time to take...  the benefits of being a 1-person department i guess.

i'd be freaking out that bathing suit season is here, and i look like such a fat-ass.

i'll take THIS body Please. How much? Can i charge it to my credit card?

but most of all, i'll be celebrating 3 long glorious, wonderful days OFF. and missing all the good times i had in my twenties when i kicked off my memorial day at the jersey shore... yes, the pre-snooki days... they rocked.

what would be on your happy hour agenda?

Oh how Pinteresting... and Helpful!

Linking up with Michelle for

I find that Pinterest is a great tool for Tips & Tricks... things for everyday life that either organize or help in some way. Let's take a look at some examples.

Do you like hard boiled eggs? I used to boil them for G to take to work... but now I might try this:

Did you ever get something in hard plastic packaging? Wouldn't it be great to be able to open it easily?

How great would it be to NOT have the wrapping paper rolls unwrap all over the inside of your closet and get all wrinkled?

This idea is great for travel to keep your earrings together

Perfect idea to keep those pesky fruit flies and mosquitos out of your drinks in the summer!

Great idea instead of buying those expensive Neosporin packets!

Hope you found these tips as helpful as i did! See my pins here!

Happy Hump Day!

Oops, I Did it Again...

I've neglected the poor bloggy... and for that i apologize.
Life has been so hectic in the past few hours, days, weeks that i just haven't had time to post!

But, let me try to catch you up on some of the comings and goings of life...

Let's reeeeee-wind.

{Green Leaf Pet Resort & Hotel}
Ma dukes and I went to the grand opening of this doggie spa/hotel last Saturday. The place was ah-mayyyyy-zing... if you're a dog... they have doggie day care, training, grooming and boarding.

Apparently the rooms are as expensive as hotel rooms for humans! The most expensive "suite" is $139 a night! True story.
I found Scooter's next bed... fit for the little prince he is... however, i don't have 250 bones to drop on a prince bed, and hubby would probably murder me if i came home with that. even though scooter TOTALLY deserves it!

{Mother's Day}
This year for Mother's Day the "kids" of the family were in charge... yes, i'm 33 and married, and still at the kid's table... the "kids" consist of myself, my brother, and my 2 cousins... we decided to have dinner at my mom's house and we'd cook supply order half and cook half of all the food... so we decided on an italian theme... we made the appetizers and desserts... my brother made a delicious baked ziti and we ordered all the meat entrees from the local italian deli. my appetizers were these mini sausage quiches. soooo good and easy to make!

i of course got NO other pictures of the day (i really need to work on that) but all went well and the moms were really happy to have a relaxing day. my kitchen however looked like something exploded in there by the end of the weekend.

{Surprises!}
My semi-crappy week was brightened considerably by the arrival of this package from my bloggy bestie Katy!
Inside she put a bag of Sour Punch Bites that she's been addicted to and that i've looked everywhere for and had been dying to try, another yummy strawberry candy that i'm told is "asian" anddddd Hello Kitty sunglasses which i LOVE LOVE LOVE (and coincidentally G likes to put on and dance around in. shhh. don't tell him i told you that!) Katy, YOU ROCK! Thanks for the goodies!

{Other Misc. Stuff}
Other than that, the rest of my week was filled with...
 Laundry... see scooter "helping"...

Glitter nail polish removal, definitely a process.

Some really good reading! Both books I definitely recommend!
And burning my hand while making this awesome balsamic chicken.
Long story short, i put the skillet IN the oven, then the directions had the skillet ON TOP of the stove to cook more, and guess who forgot the skillet had been IN the oven and grabbed the handle.
Without a pot holder.
OUCH!

the chicken came out really good though. LOL.

anyway, that's been what's been going on since i've last posted.
sorry to put you on overload, but life has been busy!

Dear Monday...

Taking my cue from Shannon since i missed her link up for Fun Photo Fridays to write a few letters this Monday...

Dear Monday: You came way too fast. My house is only half-cleaned and I miss hanging with my hubs on Saturday & Sunday.

Dear Box of Nerds: You rock. I just wish I hadn't eaten you all in one sitting. What am I going to enjoy for the rest of the week?

Dear Apple: Please hurry up with iPhone 5. My phone is busted and I really need a new one. I mean, it works, but i'm rollin' ghetto style.

Dear Annoyingly Worst Project Manager EVER: I hope you choke get severe diarrhea for the next month. I don't care about your "crappy living situation". The fact that you make EVERYONE's life miserable because you can't do your job makes me not feel one bit bad for you. Oh and get a land line and stop being so cheap. It's impossible to have conference calls with someone who's phone cuts out every other word.

Dear Boss: I'm sorry for bitching constantly about above mentioned crappy project manager. But she sucks. Big Giant Donkey Balls. Please "intervene". I beg you.

Dear Scooter: Thank you for being the best/cutest/cuddliest dog on this planet. But for the love of God, use the damn Wee-wee pad. I'm tired of cleaning dog turds.

Dear Stomach: Stop being so fat. Its very unbecoming of you. Summer is around the corner bish, so SHAPE up or SHIP OUT.

Dear Laundry: 3 words. WTF.

Dear Husband: If you want me to read 50 Shades of Grey so bad, go buy it for me! Til then, you'll have to wait til i can make it to the bookstore.

Who would you write letters to today?

Couldn't Resist!

Hey guys, hump day is almost over, but not quite!
I've been out of my mind at work lately...

but i just HAD to link up with Michelle for

Today's topic?
Home Offices.

I've been working more and more from home. For both work and my small freelance business. And i think i'd be SO much more inclined to sit down at the computer at night if i had an office like this:

or this:

or even this:

Source: houzz.com via Shana on Pinterest

this has a cute setup, though i'd definitely need some drawers for organization:

and finally i L-O-V-E everything about this home office space. so girly and AWESOME:

What would you want for a home office?
