Eff, Marry, Kill...

Linking up for this on a dreary Thursday afternoon:

First up.... EFF..... the always cocky, oftentimes shirtless, definitely hot Maksim from Dancing with the Stars.... he's into dancing, so i'd take that tango to the bedroom... for a night... wouldn't you?

Next up... marry.... maybe not the obvious choice, but this guy just seems like a nice guy... he's held his own since his days on The Hogan Family...

and finally.... KILL (eee eee eee! - that was me, trying to do that killer noise of the stabbing knife, doesn't translate so well into print)
this deadbeat dad and father to hot mess Lindsay was arrested for the second time this week... what i don't understand is how he is NEWS WORTHY??? He is NOT a celebrity... he's not even the scum on a D-list celebrity's shoe! Peace out Michael Lohan, the world would be a better place without you!

Who's on your list? We wanna know!

Guacamole, Jets and Drop 7

Hey there! It's a rare night that i'm home alone... G is working late so i figured i'd take a few to catch up on the weekend... most of it was pretty low key. i spent a good majority of it doing playing this:

See that? That's a new iPhone app i downloaded last week called Drop 7... and let me tell you, its addicting... its like, totally awesome! Try it out, its free!

Anyway, when i wasn't #obsessed with my new game, i was busy chowing down on some amazing guacamole at Juanitos, the local Zagat rated Mexican place in Howell. The food there is out of this world. I think G and i had a better time stuffing our faces than we did later that night! (Sorry if that was TMI!) They make the guac table-side and its so creamy and delicious, my mouth is watering just thinking about it. I got a beef enchilada and G got a shrimp burrito... we had a great time and can't wait to go back!

Sunday we headed to the Jets game with my dad and brother. It was a gorgeous day and G pulled some strings and got us into one of the Clubs... Now, since i've never even been to an NFL game before this year, i've obviously never been in the VIP clubs at the stadium... and boy was I missing out! They had full bars, sushi, gourmet pizza, filet mignon sandwiches... it wasn't free but the choices were SO much better than the regular concessions stand food... My dad was SO happy to be at the game and had such a good time. It was so sweet of G to invite my family and it really meant a lot to me that he embraces my family as his own now. For those of you who don't know, my dad broke his neck playing high school football and is a quadraplegic (think Christopher Reeves) so going to NFL games, things like that aren't very easy for him because my mom is always stressed of the crowds and the logistics in getting there. So for him to get to go to the game and enjoy himself was something that made me very happy to see. The bonus of the day was the big W the Jets pulled out from the Chargers! We were all pretty drunk happy by the time we left. Well my bro and G were, i was the responsible "adult" of the group. LOL.

All "Jetted" Out...

Anyway, that pretty much sums up the weekend... looking forward to the honeymoon this weekend and showing you G's hilarious halloween costume! We were supposed to debut it at L's housewarming party but G got stuck at work, so we didn't make it... sorry lis... :(

Quickie...

NO... not THAT kind of quickie... get your minds outta the gutter! hehehe...

just a quickie post today showing ya's my new f21 pretty!
i'm in LOVE with this top and especially the color.

(please excuse the poor iphone photo from 7am this morning!)

i have a client meeting today, but since our office is super casual i decided to dress up just a little...
i also convinced G to take me to dinner at our FAVORIT-O mexican joint tonight so this top will be perfect for date night as well!

i paired the top with black skinnies and super high grey suede heels that i can barely walk in, and a handmade necklace one of my co-workers made for me a while back...

Hope you all enjoy your weekends... i'm headed to the Jets game on Sunday with G, my dad and my brother... GO JETS!

For your viewing pleasure...

This weekend i went to not just one, but TWO dine-in movies. What a great concept... dinner/drinks while AT the movies. AND you get a comfy, spacious leather chair with plenty of leg room to boot! Whoever thought of this fabulous movie going experience is a genius! And the price isn't even that much higher... for an extra $2 i'll take it (price doesn't include food or adult bevvies)... they also have a bar right outside the theater to hang out before or after the movie you're going to see. G and I ended up at the sports bar on the other side of the mall since we didn't know this. But next time, its one stop shopping for us!

AMC Dine-In Movies
So, Saturday night, we were supposed to double date with G's best friends... but one of them got sick (he's ok now)... so we ended up selling those tickets to the people on line next to us. We saw 50/50...

via
Here's the summary via IMDB: Inspired by a true story, a comedy centered on a 27-year-old guy who learns of his cancer diagnosis, and his subsequent struggle to beat the disease.

This was a great movie! It had great actors, a lot of funny parts and was so heartwarming! I won't give away the ending, but i definitely would recommend checking it out. Seth Rogen was his usual dirty mouthed but hilarious self, while JGL was just plain adorable! Bryce Dallas Howard and Anna Kendricks both held their own as well.

Sunday afternoon, i met up with caryn for a little lunch and What's Your Number. Her and i are both big Anna Faris fans so we knew this movie would be right up our alley... and it definitely didn't disappoint.

If this photo doesn't give you an idea of how absolutely friggin hilarious this lady is (yup her weave was ON FIRE), then i don't know what will... there were definitely a ton of rated R and beyond references in this one, but the laughter did not stop! Telling ya ladies, grab your girls and go see this one! Not to mention that Chris Evans.... H-O-T-T-I-E and yes, you get some topless scenes to drool over his impeccable chest! (shh, dont tell hubs that! hehe)

After the movie, we hit up a little shopping... i didn't score anything majorly exciting... just a couple pairs of jeans... i heart American Eagle... even though i'm 5'5" i seem to have short stumpy legs. Boo. But Yay for American Eagle with their lengths... and the fact that their jeans have some stretch because im as fat as a whale rocks as well!

original boot

This was definitely $35 well spent... especially because i don't have to hem them... we'll see what happens once i throw them in the wash... they're a tiny bit big around the waist, so i threw on a belt today.

My other purchases weren't really news worthy. I'll try to get some OOTD pics up after i wear them. There is one purple shirt i sort of love, but not sure how it looks ON me...

What did you do this weekend?

Oh SO WHAT.

Happy Thursday everyone... one day closer to friday... which means one day closer to the weekend!
No major plans this weekend... just gonna hang out with the hubs... maybe if its nice try to convince him to take the bikes to le reservoir.

But for now, its still Thursday... and so i'm saying SO WHAT. Ready? Let's go!

SO WHAT...

  • if our honeymoon is in 2 weeks and i have yet to pick up the tickets and travel arrangements from liberty travel. nothing like waiting for the last minute! though i can't wait to be on this boat!
via

  • if i didn't force scooter to take his yucky allergy pill after he spit it out 3x. that thing is huge and i wouldn't want to be swallowing it either!
  • if i've been late to work EVERY.DAY. this week. i can't help it that traffic is insane in the membrane going into princeton. (that's me, i'm samir, cussing at everyone)

  • if G and i have a semi-unhealthy obsession with Words With Friends and spend our "quality time" laying in bed next to each other playing on our phones....

  • if i OD'ed on the smoky eye look today... i love you Too Faced Matte Eye Palette!
Find it at Sephora

  • if i've been too lazy to do OR fold any laundry all week. i've had very important things to do such as watch Hart of Dixie and Kim Kardashian's Fairytale Wedding

  • if i brought 2 apples to work but have been eating Blow Pops instead...
So tell me, what are you saying SO WHAT to today?!

Pilates for beginners.

Took my first pilates class with the reformer tower... the machine looked something like this:
via

and the verdict? i LOVED it. i got a Groupon and signed up for my fabulous friend Dani's reformer class. She went pretty easy on us for the first time, though I might still be feeling it tomorrow... we did squats, abs, arm exercises and a whole lotta stretching... the reformer machine uses springs and pulleys and you can increase/decrease the resistance using them.

I'm thinking 4 more classes and i'll be looking like this in no time, eh?

Lunch time Blues

Hi girls... today we are going to talk about a topic that is very near and dear to my heart... LUNCH. You see, Lunch and I have a very close relationship... i look forward to seeing Lunch everyday (especially work days), i miss Lunch once the hour is up, i think about Lunch constantly from the hours of waking til noon...

And then something horrible happened. I realized how much Lunch was costing me... $6 here, $10 there... $20 if we go out to lunch...

In came the idea of sandwich week... sandwich week consists of my co-worker and i going to the local grocery store (the one that sells Boars Head of course) to buy cold cuts, bread, condiments and to basically eat the SAME sandwich for a week. We usually add on some kind of chip/pretzel/dorito bag so we have a little bit of a side with our sandos...

This week we changed it up a bit by getting frozen dinners (she went for Stouffers, i went for half Stouffers, half Lean Cuisine... this girl has a honeymoon to get trim for or not)... However, i'm sure after a week or two of this... we'll be bored with lunch... which is a sad thing... considering that half the time, lunch is the highlight of my day!

So my question to you is --- what do you do for lunch? Do you eat out, bring from home? Do you try to save money on lunch?
