Insta-Lately

Yup. Don't even say it... 3 words.
World's. Worst. Blogger.
Fo' sho'.

Life lately has just been... unmotivating.
Maybe its this cold Jersey weather. And the lack of sun.
Or maybe i'm just lazy bones. And old.
Or all of the above...

But today, my friends, i enlighten you with what's been going on in my world the last few weeks via Instagram. And if you don't follow me on Instagram you should. All the cool kids do it.

Professional What?!

So here I am - sitting here attempting to get some work done.
The task.
Finding a Professional Photo to use for a Bio for a capabilities pitch.

The problem.
This is all i can seem to find in iPhoto.

Graphic Designer by day... Hello Kitty lover in the sun...

Let's put this picture up of me wearing a lobster bib...
it says, "i eat my profits"

More HK... they'd probably think i was about 16 if i chose this photo.

 classic duck face.
how could you go wrong?

ah, the infamous app that makes you look like you got the sh*t kicked out of you.
#notwinning

at least i'm showing my "fun" side in this one...

and in this one too...

do you think they'd hold it against me knowing i'm a Jets fan?

well since i got this beauty for Christmas, i guess its time to set up the old tripod and put it to good use and get a professional looking shot.

wish me luck!

A Big Bag of M&Ms

OK lovelies... i've been working hard (or hardly working) all morning, and i think i need a quick break to get some confessions out on the table. So i'm linking up with Leslie!

For starters... my "diet" and "healthy lifestyle" change has been a big FAIL. I have yet to get on the exercise bike yet this week... and i just bought a big bag of M&Ms -- and i already ate my lunch...

Even though i'm on a spending hiatus, i've still managed to buy a Revlon lip butter, a Sephora nail polish and a couple of things from Lush. Hey, a girl needs her beautifying products!

You know how they say you're not supposed to refill your water bottle all the time. Well, here's my dirty little secret... i've been using the same one, and refilling it. ALL.WEEK.  #notdeadyet. i mean, its ONLY my germs... right?

and i can't believe i'm admitting this one... but the reason i didn't check off anything on my To-Do list last night.... i started watching a certain teen movie about a certain young sleuth and got totally sucked in.

yup.... watched the whole thing. like i'm 12 or something. but emma roberts was super cute as Nancy Drew, though the movie was a bit weird and far fetched. LOL

and with that said (hangs head in shame), i'm off to get back to working!
happy friday loves! one of these days, i'll get around to my Christmas/New Years recap.
let's face it, i haven't done them, because i look totally hideous in the Christmas pictures... oh another confession... they just keep popping out!

2012 Favorites

Saw this on a couple blogs and thought i'd give you guys my take on my
Favorite products of 2012.

Kenra Silkening Gloss |  KMS California Color Vitality Shine & Shield  |  TreSemmé Fresh start Dry Shampoo

I've been a long time fan on the Kenra Gloss, it smells amazing and gives my hair such pretty shine. I use the KMS Shine and Shield to protect my hair from blow drying. The packaging i have is different, but this stuff lasts a really long time! And the TreSemme dry shampoo is great for days I skip washing my hair.

Purity face wash by Philosophy | Maybelline Dream Lumi Concealer | MAC Bronzing Powder and 116 Brush | Lush's Ocean Salt Face and Body Scrub

All of these products are amazing. I re-fell in love with my Clarisonic after taking a break from it. I use the Purity cleanser with it about 2x a week. Once a week, i'll use the Lush Ocean Salt which smells HEA-VEN-LY.... The Maybelline Lumi concealer provides great coverage and brightens the under eye area very nicely. Even nicer, the price on this. And last but not least, for a great contour, nothing is better than MAC's bronzing powder and brush.

Urban Decay Naked Palette | Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler | Too Faced 3-way Liner

I just got the UD Naked palette from my awesome co-worker for Christmas, and ladies, i should have bought this a long time ago. It is my absolute favorite and i find myself picking this palette up daily. Another 2012 favorite is my Shu Uemura eyelash curler. Sadly they don't sell this in Sephora anymore. I've had mine for about 3 years and its still amazing! And my last eye favorite is definitely the 3-way lash liner. I use it mostly for tightlining, but love that it doesn't fade on my waterline.

Lush Popcorn Lip Scrub (Limited Edition) | NYC Liquid LipShine | EOS Lip Balm

I picked up the Lush lip scrub when Christmas shopping, and though i haven't been using it for too long, it is a definite favorite. It leaves my lips feeling super moisturized and exfoliated. You can actually eat it too! (Though, i don't, that kind of grosses me out to be eating my lip skin). The NYC gloss i got in my Influenster box, and not only does it smell delish, it has an awesome texture and finish to it! If you're looking for a good everyday lip gloss that is inexpensive, this is for you. And as you all know, i love all things lip balm related. This pretty EOS egg has been in my car for months. It lasts a really long time, and i love not having to twist up the product. It also smells very yummy!

Here's my finished face and hair using almost all of these products!
What do you think? Do you use any of these products?

What are your favorite products for 2012?

The Nail Files...

This is my first time doing a Nail Files link-up AND today on Fabulous But Evil's blog you can also enter to win a pretty amazing prize! Go here to check it out!

I painted my nails last Saturday morning, so they would be primed and ready for our AC trip and NYE festivities.

for Christmas (thanks mom & dad!) and couldn't wait to try it out. Mom unknowingly, picked out the perfect holiday color for me!

This is what it looks like on...

and i'm happy to report that we're now on Day 7 and my left hand looks perfect, no chips at all, everything is still super shiny. The right hand has 2 chips but i think that's because i didn't coat the tips of my nails well enough on those two... think there's a tiny bit of a learning curve in applying the right amount of gel polish!

I'll definitely be interested in seeing how difficult it is to remove everything and how long the color really lasts without chipping.

And i promise to be back at some point with updates of Christmas and New Years.
(we all know i'm just a horrendous blogger sometimes. ha.)

P.S. Happy 2-year Blogiversary to me!
