Blogger #fail!

Yeah yeah yeah.... i know... i was supposed to give you the next part of my vacation on the blogs this week... but alas... i have been swamped, am PMS'ing, and now have a lovely COLD. Still at work though, not sick enough to waste a day... but still catching up from last week (though being busy at work with actual billable work is definitely a blessing).

Anyway... i ended up taking off yesterday to go meet this adorable little guy....

Little sweet baby Philip....  one of my best friend's new additions... and he was so worth the 2 hour drive to Long Island and back (2.5 hours with traffic)...

Ended up having a great day hanging with Joy and catching up, doing a little shopping and she treated me for lunch for my bday.... :)

Anyway, i PROMISE to try my best to get back to the vacation updates so i can finish those up and also catch up on all your blogs!

Ahhhhh Vacation... Part 1

Hey Peeps! I'm back, did ya miss me?! I can't even tell you what a great amazing time I had on vacation! But i'll try!

So our trip started Thursday night at around 9pm. We decided to start out with a late dinner, and kill a little time because it was raining.

Can we say FRIED PICKLES and wings - YUM!

We overloaded on dinner - i can tell you all it was because we wanted to eat enough to hold us over for the rest of the night, but that would just be a lie. We may or may not have stopped at a McDonalds at around 3am... i mean, to be fair, we had to stop and refuel anyway...

After 10 loooooooong hours of driving and driving and driving... we finally made it HERE!

We checked in, and walked upstairs to our suite, where i found this great surprise!

 My guy is so good to me... no one has ever done that for me before and it was so sweet. Though we did think it was kind of funny that they left the strawberries in the container... later we found out it wasn't quite the hotel we had thought it was (yes, i will be posting a hotel review on Yelp and Trip Advisor). I guess that's the problem with booking things you can only see on the internet. LOL.

 We ate breakfast then headed straight for the pool!

 After a few drinks (and a shot or two or three) we finally passed out for a few hours for a much needed nap. Once we got moving again, we got back up and got ready for our first night out. We decided to head over to Broadway at the Beach (thanks for the recommendation Sweet Bef), it reminded me of a City Walk type of place...

 We hit this place for dinner... turned out only the appetizer was really good... wasn't super crazy bout anything else we got.

After dinner, we decided to walk around, do some shopping... little did i know that everywhere in Myrtle Beach is SUPPPER casual. so i was a weeee bit overdressed in my 4" stilettos... and boy did they start to hurt the more we walked around. I eventually stopped and bought flip flops!

 We found this stray balloon hat and decided it made for a good photo shoot. It wasn't until much later when we were reviewing the photos, we saw what the sign above G's head happened to spell.

We hit up a club after i changed shoes... hung out there for a bit and then headed back to the hotel. It wasn't a super late night since we had been up for a ja-zillion hours.

Yay for Flip Flops!

First of all, just wanted to thank Lyryn from Breaking Through for putting this whole thing together! I was so excited to take part in this!

I got my package on Saturday...

I excitedly ripped open the box and found this!

 

Immediately, i knew they were from one of my all time favorito stores, Target!

And.... voila!

 

Loved them so much wore them that night to dinner and the concert in the city!

They were SUPER comfy and matched my outfit perfectly!

But only for a few days! Finally headed to Myrtle Beach on our much anticipated Birthday vacation!

Ma Dukes is still a bit sour that i won't be around to celebrate my birthday with the family... but i would MUCH rather be parked in a beach chair, with my floppy hat, a book, and a drink in hand (if possible)! Can ya blame a girl?

I know you all will miss me terribly while i'm away... but i'll be back with tons of pictures (hopefully) and a great recap of the long weekend... and a play by play of if G and I want to murder each other after being in a car together for a jazillion hours... hehe... hope he's ready to listen to 11 hours of GLEE! (i kid, i kid!)

Actually, by the time you are reading this (since i am a genius and have learned how to "schedule" posts) we should be arriving or close to arriving IN myrtle beach. Unless of course Gloria (yes, i named the lady that comes out of my navi) gives us wrong directions a la Michael Scott in the office where he turned into a lake. That Gloria can be a real whore sometimes i tell ya. So cross your fingers G is smarter than Michael Scott and doesn't drive us IN to the Atlantic.
