Wow... here we are at my 100th post... and the biggest thing on my mind?
Thinking about making my blog PRIVATE. No, i didnt get any hate mail regarding anything i've blogged about. But I just wonder sometimes if i put "too much" out there...
I considered my blog my place to write about whatever I wanted... whether it be about clothing, makeup, my loves, my hates... just a place that was all mine where I wasn't being censored. And i feel like I have made some great connections with a lot of you out there...
But how much information is too much information? Can blogs be used for more harm than good?
How do you feel about private blogs? If I did go private, would you want an invite? I know everyone has people that read their blogs and aren't necessarily "followers" so if that's you, I'd love to hear your opinions too!
Oh yeah, did I mention I got married this past weekend? hahaha... i will DEFINITELY be posting on that soon! Pics to come!
However... this is the part of the story BEFORE Cinderella met her fairy godmother... before she got to wear a pretty dress and dance with her prince... let's backtrack to the part where she's scrubbing floors, doing laundry and dishes, cleaning up after everyone... because lately, that is how i feel like my life is.
So i gotta ask you guys... WHERE'S THAT DAMN FAIRY GODMOTHER WHEN YOU NEED HER?!
But seriously, let's chat... because G and I had a heated discussion last night. And he told me that he is completely chauvanistic "old school" and that there are the "woman's jobs" and the "man's jobs"...
Ok... so let's look at this list... first of all, there are way more things on MY side than his... furthermore... we dont have a lawn! we live on a golf course in a condo... we get raped pay $300 a month for them to have the landscaping done for us. Third... when i asked G what we were painting, he replied, "nothing, but i would paint something if you wanted me to". Insert rude reply here.
By the end of the night where we basically had the "i want you to WANT to do the dishes" (quote from the movie the breakup - see below) we came to a semi compromise that he would TRY to be more aware of when i need help around the house and that if he isn't willing to pitch in more, he cannot be annoyed that im a cranky biotch.
I'm sure that this little tiff was just us adjusting to living together as a couple - and in the grand scheme of things... inconsequential. And mayyyyybe, quite possibly, i'm just cranky cuz aunt flo is here... but shhhh don't tell anyone, k?
So, here's my question to all you married gals out there... how do you
split chores with your men? Do you think this arrangement is fair? For
all you single ladies, if you were me, would you just accept your place
in life because apparently women's liberation never happened quietly or would you burn your bra in protest?
With a lot going on this week and next, thought i'd take a few minutes to let you all know what i'm loving this week. Link up HERE if you want to play along!
I'm Loving...
these adorable little succulents i ordered as wedding favors.
they will also be part of the centerpieces... can we say eco-friendly? whoot whoot!
the bag of jolly ranchers i have been stuffing in my face one after the other after the other...

we also followed this up with FRIED OREOS.
Now i don't know how many of you have ever experienced FRIED OREOS before...

they are heaven on earth.
Both G and I said they are thisclose to being better than s-e-x
(yup... i said it... you can thank me later.)
this saturday night is Girls Night Out... where i'll be celebrating my last weekend of being a Ms instead of a Mrs. Got my bestest cousins and friends coming out and we're doing dinner and drinks in Red Bank and maybe throwing in a little dancing afterwards! Can't wait - promise you guys lots of photos (cuz you know i suck at that!)
OK girls... i have found it... the Holy Grail of waterproof eyeliner... As a contact lens wearer, I don't do well with anything that is not waterproof. And as someone who has a tendency of touching/rubbing my tired eyes throughout the day, smudgeproof helps as well. And this eyeliner has it all. Easy to apply, glides right on, perfect sponge smudger on the other end. This eyeliner is my absolute FAVORITE... I've only tried it in black so far, but definitely want to see what the other colors look like!
This brush was compliments of my roomie last year and I started out using it as a foundation brush. Its got a great texture and is stiff enough to hold the foundation nicely. Application is smooth, though because its a bit smaller, takes longer to apply foundation to the entire face. Recently I switched to using for cream blush and I'm extremely happy with the result. It blends very well and I love that I don't have to dirty my fingers anymore with the blush. MAC brushes are the best, and always hold up well (I've had several of mine for over 8 years now).
One of my besties became an Avon rep a while back and I tried out their nail polish (I mean, ya can't go wrong for $3 a bottle right?) And... I LOVE IT. This stuff is GREAT... I think the non-sale price is about $5, but ladies, let me tell you. This stuff LASTS... and I do some serious torture to my hands... typing, washing dishes, banging my hands around... usually nail polish lasts 2-3 days before it starts looking white trashey... this one didn't start chipping/cracking til day 4... today is day 5 and its still looking pretty good...
why do my hands look like i'm 80? ewwww.
Regardless of my nasty looking hand, focus on the polish... Yup Day 5... not bad people, not bad at all.
Anyway... do me a favor and go vote for my bloggy friend Lindsey Lee, the Bargain Blonde -- as the most valuable blogger in the Dallas area... its the last day for voting and i want her to win. Then go pour yourself a well deserved adult bevvy to start the weekend off right!
I swear.... I don't mean to neglect all of you guys, but i am seriously DROWNING... work is good, don't get me wrong... but there is such thing as too much of a good thing!
QUICK QUICK recap as far as wedding.... mostly everything is done! all i need is good weather (fingers crossed people!) and all my packages to arrive on time!
Here are some sneak peaks!
Hair - going with the fascinator... finally decided on this one...
Bouquet - met with the florist on Monday and she's doing this bouquet and replacing the bark wrapper with lace to match my dress. she's also subbing out the white flowers for light pink dahlias... can we say gorgeous!!!
